Modeshift STARS Good Travel Plan 2026 - 2027

At Coop Academy Clarice Cliff, we are always keen to promote healthier, more environmentally friendly active journeys to and from our school.  This also helps to reduce parking congestion outside our school.

We are delighted to inform you that in March 2026 Coop Academy Clarice Cliff has been awarded a Good Travel Plan accreditation from Modeshift STARS* for our school travel plan.  This accreditation recognises schools for their efforts to increase the number of pupils who regularly walk, cycle, wheel or use other forms of sustainable transport, such as Park and Stride sites, on their journey to school.

Well done everyone - we have achieved this travel award by working together. Thank you to all parents, carers, staff and pupils who have supported us in our travel initiatives this year and our campaign to help keep children active and safe on the journey to and from school. 

As we now work towards VERY GOOD accreditation, we hope you will continue to support us in ensuring we continue to work together to achieve our aims.

Through Modeshift STARS, we aim to:

Promote Health & Wellbeing: Encourage active lifestyles by making walking, cycling, and scooting the preferred ways to travel to school.

Enhance Safety: Reduce traffic congestion around the school gates to create a safer environment for our pupils and neighbours.

Drive Environmental Responsibility: Lower our collective carbon footprint, aligning with our Co-op values (Show You Care, Succeed Together and Do What Matters Most) to nurture children who care about the world around them.
