Remote Learning
Remote Education
Attendance is essential for children to get the most out of their experiences, including for their attainment, wellbeing, and wider life chances. As a school we work very closely with parents, carers and our children to remove any barriers to attendance to ensure that children are in school on time everyday. Remote education will be considered only as a last resort when the alternative would be no education, and only after it has been established that the children are, or will be absent from school. We are committed to ensuring that every effort is made to ensure children can be taught in person by attending school everyday.
Circumstances where it might not be possible for children to receive in person education are very rare and fit into two broad categories:
-
School closures or restrictions on attendance, where school access for children is restricted
-
Individual cases where a child is unable to attend school but is able to learn
-
On the very rare occasions that remote education is undertaken, work provided during this short period of time will be high quality, meaningful, and ambitious to enable pupils to stay on track with their education.
When remote education is undertaken all information about remote learning will be communicated via Class Dojo. Our remote education provision will include:
-
Reading their reading book
-
Sharing their library book with an adult, sibling or reading this independently
-
Watching the Phonics videos as detailed on Class Dojo
-
