Over the last couple of weeks, Year 5 have visited Longton Fire Station to take part in their 'Safe and Sound' event.

As part of this, we participated in a number of different workshops run by the fire service, the police service, mental health services and even a bank!

We learned about fire hazards, what to do if there is a fire, how to stay safe when banking, found out about the risks of alcohol and drink driving and learned about being a responsible citizen.

The messages behind the workshops were very important and we learned a lot - but we also had lots of fun!
