A Message from Mrs Day.

I can’t believe we are in our last week of Autumn 1 - it has just flown.  The children have all settled into their new classes and are producing some lovely work.  It was so nice to welcome so many families at parents evening - it was our highest attendance at parents evening.  Thank you for all of your support!

We have had lots to celebrate over the half term.  Our attendance has continued to be strong and we are currently above 95%.  We want to continue to build on this in Autumn 2 as we achieved so much last year.  The timetables are so busy that even missing one day results in lots of work being missed.  I look forward to seeing this continue to get even better next half term.

I would just like to end with a little request!  We currently have a few spaces in classes across the school from Nursery - Year 5.  Our school is a lovely place to be and we would love to have as many spaces filled as possible.  If you are able to share any of our lovely Facebook posts or support us in promoting our school then we would be very grateful.  Any suggestions that you have would always be welcomed too!  Thank you!

I hope that you all have a lovely half term - a time for family time and a bit of relaxation (hopefully!).  We look forward to welcoming everyone back safely on Monday 3rd November for a very exciting Autumn 2.  Don’t forget to look at the list of events for all of the wonderful things that are happening.  Thank you for the support as always.

Staffing

Miss Hoq has settled really well into Year 4 and is really enjoying being part of the Clarice Cliff team.

Mr Leonard has also been with us for two weeks now and has settled in really well.  He certainly has lots of jobs to keep him busy!

Sadly as you know, Mrs Cain will be leaving us otoday to take on her new post.  We wish her every success but can’t wait to see her again in her role on the Academy Community Council.

Mrs Wilkes will start with us on the 10th November and we are really looking forward to welcoming her to the staff team.

Trips and Events.

We have already had lots of events taking place:  the community litterpick, MacMillan Coffee Morning, a trip to Tittesworth and a visit from our local MP Gareth Snell.  Our Year 6 pupils have also gone to their residential for the first time at Boreatton Park.  This is a new venue for the children to attend and it looks like they will have an amazing time!  We can’t wait to see the pictures and hear all the stories.

This afternoon, Nurturing Blossoms have been busy creating their own tree. They had a great time collecting fallen leaves from the playground and turning them into a work of art. We think it looks amazing, what do you think?
