British Science Week.

This year, we marked British Science Week with an exciting and engaging programme of activities that brought science to life across the school.

This year, we marked British Science Week with an exciting and engaging programme of activities that brought science to life across the school! We started the week with  a thought-provoking assembly delivered by Mr. Plant who discussed this year's theme of change and adaptation.

Throughout the week, every class has taken part in practical science experiments tailored to their year group requirements.

One of the highlights of the week was the Year 6 heart dissection. Our oldest students had the unique opportunity to dissect lambs' hearts, allowing them to explore the structure and function of this vital organ. They carefully examined the chambers, valves, and arteries, linking their hands-on experience to their studies on the circulatory system. It was a fascinating and memorable session that deepened their understanding of adaptation and change in biology.

British Science Week has been a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage with science beyond the textbook, ask questions, and develop a real passion for the subject. A huge thank you to our teachers and staff for making the week so successful, and to all the students for their enthusiasm and curiosity.
