In Year 1 for Pyjamarama, we have been looking at Flotsam, a book with no words by David Wiesner. In the book a boy discovers an old camera and develops the film inside. 
The boy is amazed to discover the most fantastical photos of under the sea. Next we looked at some flotsam of our own and used our inference skills to work out who the objects might belong to. We also imagined what photos we might find and drew our ideas.
Our Class Reader at the moment is Malamander by Thomas Taylor. This afternoon we created maps of Eerie on Sea and also designed new book covers for the story.
