Year 2 enjoyed a visit to the Potteries Museum to visit the spitfire as part of their history topic.
This term, Year 2 has been diving into the life of Reginald Mitchell and discovering why he was such an important figure.
To enhance their learning, they took an exciting trip to the Potteries Museum to see the remarkable Spitfire! The children were fantastic, displaying excellent behaviour and asking some really insightful questions.
They were thrilled to see medals from World War II soldiers and to learn about the uniforms and equipment used by pilots!
Back at school, the fun continued as they crafted their own WWII medals.
In the afternoon, they channelled their creativity into writing amazing non-chronological reports about the Spitfire in their curriculum books. What a wonderful way to learn!
